Deedz DJ Terms

1. Your relationship is with the venue

Deedz is software that shows you song requests at the venues whose DJ list you join. You play for the venue, not for the Provider. You are not the Provider’s employee, contractor, agent or partner, and the Provider does not book, manage or pay you.

Any DJ share shown in the console (“you get AED …”) is set by the venue and paid to you by the venue, out of its own share, under whatever arrangement you have with the venue. The Provider has no obligation to pay you anything and is not responsible if a venue does not pay you.

2. Using the console honestly

• Only accept a request you intend to play that night, and mark it “Played” when you do.
• Pass on anything you won’t play; guests are not charged for passed requests.
• Keep your login to yourself and don’t start a set at a venue you are not playing.
• Guests may attach their own audio files. You decide whether to download or play them, and you are responsible for making sure you are allowed to play anything you play.

3. Your licences and conduct — no risk to the Provider

You alone are responsible for your visa and work permit or freelance permit, any licence or permission you need to perform, your taxes, your equipment, your conduct at the venue and everything you play or say. Song-content filters in Deedz are a convenience only; you and the venue decide what is played and remain responsible for complying with UAE law on media content, public morals and public order.

The Provider does not check any of this and accepts no liability for any fine, claim, loss or cost arising from your performance, the music you play, the venue, or any dispute between you and a venue or guest. You will indemnify the Provider against claims caused by your breach of these terms or of the law.

4. Your profile

Your name, photo, bio and Instagram handle are shown to guests at venues where you play. Only upload a photo you are allowed to use. You can edit your profile at any time, and delete your DJ account from your profile page (or by emailing support@deedz.ae); deleting removes your name, photo, bio, Instagram and login, while the request history of past sets stays with the venues’ records.

5. Liability, changes and law

The console is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for lost earnings, outages or indirect loss. The Provider may update these terms with notice in the console, and may suspend a DJ profile that breaks them. These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the UAE, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
